NOTE: Before the EasyMail Server is run for the first time, it is important to use the EasyMail Administrator program to open the server first by selecting ΓÇ£Open ServerΓÇ¥ from the ΓÇ£SharingΓÇ¥menu. If you do not, your server will not be shared over the network.
If you are having trouble accessing your EasyMail Server over the network using your EasyMail Client, then:
ΓÇó Open your EasyMail Administrator.
ΓÇó Close your EasyMail Server by selecting ΓÇ£Close ServerΓÇ¥ from the ΓÇ£SharingΓÇ¥ menu.
ΓÇó Open your EasyMail Server by selecting ΓÇ£Open ServerΓÇ¥ from the ΓÇ£SharingΓÇ¥ menu.
ΓÇó Quit the EasyMail Administrator.
The reason for this is that System 7 File Sharing sometimes screws up and resets the sharing preferences for each volume. This ensures that the settings are correct.
NOTE: You cannot use an EasyMail Server for other File Sharing or use with AppleShare File Server. This is because of the way EasyMail accesses the main server.
